KING GEORGE SUSTAINABLE FARMHOUSE RETREAT

We acquired the property in 2020 and began the renovation process. This historic home dating back to the late 1800s sits atop a hill overlooking pasture and is surrounded by sustainably managed forest. A network of trails allows you to explore historic sounds that were once occupied by union forces throughout the civil war.

Hand hewn lumber that once made us the floor of the original home may now be appreciated as a floating washroom vanity and living mantel. The upper level showcases the exposed brick of the original chimney as well as exposed ceiling beams.

Sunlight beaming in from the large open windows allows you to enjoy the natural beauty while soaking up nature’s vital resource.

Built with sustainable principles in mind, we used only the highest quality material sourced locally to make The Retreat sustainable, eco-friendly, and carbon-neutral to ensure that in an additional 100 years from now, this home will still stand.
